Computer Fixing Scam

WNW has been advised of a recent scam from a resident who lives in Goodwood Close, Willingdon. The residents husband received a phone call from an individual with a far eastern accent saying they had a problem with their computer, and that they could fix it. Unfortunately the resident involve gave up his password and their laptop was infiltrated, fortunately when the resident realised what he had done he switched off the laptop and replaced the telephone receiver. It was later discovered that Maleware had been placed on the laptop, which was subsequently removed. The scammer involved telephoned another three times before realising that they had been rumbled.

Attempted Break In - Huggets Lane

During the day time 03/02/2020 a property on HUGGETTS LN, WILLINGDON reported seeing, two males in masks get out of a van and attempt to enter garages. A vehicle registration number was obtained and passed to the Police. (321 of 3/2 relates)
